![]() For Gate 4 ROMs and Proposals, the ISRC will assure that bids are generated per a transparent, robust, and standard process whenever possible. The SS ISRC PACE will contribute to product line roadmaps, Gate 1-4 captures, and ISRC strategy discussions. The SS ISRC PACE will collaborate with the SS Technical Director, ISRC IRAD Leads, SS BD, and SS Product Line Directors on capture opportunities. The SS ISRC PACE will collaborate with Program Chief Engineers, Department Managers, and Program Managers to validate the soundness of engineering content supporting quarterly Estimates at Completion (EACs), including analysis of variance drivers (and recurrence preventative actions), basis of estimates for remaining/to-go engineering activities, and revised risk and opportunity positions with corresponding actionable mitigation and capture plans. During product events, anomalies, and failures, the SS ISRC PACE will support Program Chief Engineers to ensure that the right discipline and domain Subject Matter Experts are engaged in timely review, investigation, and troubleshooting activities and to confirm reasoned corrective (and preventative) actions are documented and implemented. The SS ISRC PACE will engage Program Chief Engineers, Department Managers, and enterprise Subject Matter Experts to assure technical rigor and independent, robust technical reviews are driven throughout the maturation of engineering technical baseline(s) and associated hardware, firmware, software, and system products and technologies. With the support of the Program Chief Engineers, the SS ISRC PACE will continually confirm and as necessary reinforce, the reasoned application of risk and opportunity management practices and techniques, and consistent and meaningful application of configuration management and control to the evolving technical baseline(s). Furthermore, the SS ISRC PACE will independently review the established engineering cost, schedule, and technical measures, on a recurring basis with the Program Chief Engineers, to identify issues early and establish preventative actions necessary to maintain commitments throughout the execution of engineering activities. The SS ISRC PACE will collaborate with Program Chief Engineers, Program Managers, and Program Excellence leaders, to drive effective application of the project management discipline resulting in robust engineering plans for new program startups. ![]() ![]() In addition, the SS ISRC PACE will have demonstrated career experiences spanning the Systems Engineering discipline lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architectural design, product implementation, integration, verification, validation, and operation/maintenance. The SS ISRC PACE will possess proven technical knowledge with hardware, firmware, and software technologies applicable for space-based sensing and communication capabilities. The SS ISRC PACE will directly report to the SS Business Area Chief Engineer, and will have dotted line responsibility for Program Chief Engineers assigned to the classified portfolio of space programs. The Space Systems (SS) ISR & Comms Program Area Chief Engineer (SS ISRC PACE) will be a proven leader accountable for the cost, schedule, and technical integrity of engineering capture & development activities performed within a classified portfolio of programs, including Customer Research and Development (CRAD), executed by the Space Systems mission area.
